Terms and Conditions of Sale

2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and sale of handcrafted jewellery through the online store www.igijewelry.com, hereinafter referred to as the "Store". By placing an order, the Customer declares to have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

3. Products

All products sold in the Store are handcrafted jewellery, made by hand in our atelier in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Materials include 925 sterling silver and gold, and some pieces may feature 24k gold plating. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations between pieces of the same model may occur. Product photographs are for illustrative purposes only; minor differences in colour or detail may exist compared to the actual product.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices include VAT at the applicable legal rate. Shipping costs, where applicable, are displayed before checkout is completed. Available payment methods include: credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, MB WAY, Multibanco reference, and others that may be made available.

5. Orders and Shipping

Once payment is confirmed, orders will be processed and shipped within the timeframe indicated on our Shipping Policy page. Free shipping is available on orders of €100 or more to Portugal and Spain.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Right of Return)

Under Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February, the Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract, without providing any reason, within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of the product.

To exercise this right, the Customer must notify us unequivocally by email to info@igijewelry.com or by using the model withdrawal form below.

The Customer must return the products within 14 days of notifying us of the withdrawal. Return shipping costs are the Customer's responsibility, unless the product is defective.

The refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned products, using the same payment method as the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

Products must be returned in their original condition: unused, in original packaging, with all accessories and documentation.

7. Legal Warranty

Under Decree-Law No. 84/2021 of 18 October, all products sold in the Store benefit from a 3-year legal conformity warranty from the date of delivery.

During the first 2 years, any lack of conformity is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, and the burden of proof lies with the seller. In the third year, the consumer must prove that the lack of conformity existed at the time of delivery.

In the event of a lack of conformity, the consumer is entitled to: (a) repair; (b) replacement; (c) price reduction; or (d) contract cancellation, under the conditions provided by law.

Repair or replacement must be completed within 30 days, except in cases of special complexity.

Within the first 30 days of delivery, the consumer may exercise the right of rejection, requesting immediate replacement or contract cancellation without having to wait for repair.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, negligence, normal wear and tear, or contact with chemicals, perfumes, water or other external agents.

8. Custom Pieces

Custom-made or personalised pieces are not covered by the right of withdrawal (14 days), pursuant to Article 17(1)(c) of Decree-Law No. 24/2014. The legal warranty applies normally.

10. Alternative Dispute Resolution

In the event of a consumer dispute, customers may contact an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity:

11. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent Portuguese courts.
