Certification and Authenticity

All iGi jewelry pieces are crafted in 925 Silver or 925 Silver with 24-karat Gold plating.

The authenticity and material quality are certified by the INCM Contrastaria (Instituto da Moeda e Imprensa – the official Portuguese assay office), which is responsible for verifying the legal precious metal content (fineness/percentage of the alloy) and applying the required hallmarks.

Pieces are stamped with the official Contrastaria hallmark (alongside the maker’s or sponsor’s mark), as required by Portuguese law. This hallmarking is mandatory only for items weighing more than 2 grams.

Should you ever have any doubt about the authenticity of a piece, you can always contact the INCM Contrastaria services for official verification.
